We can prevent heart disease by following heart-healthy life-style. Here are strategies to manage heart disease :-

  2. Reduce alcohol intake.
  3. Reduce salt and sugar intake.
  4. Weight management is very important to manage heart disease .
  5. Control high blood pressure if you are hypertensive patient.
  6. Control blood cholesterol level if your lipid profile is not controlled.
  7. Managing diabetes is important to lower the risk of heart disease.
  8. Select whole grains like whole-wheat flour, brown rice , barley , Oat meal etc.
  9. Avoid saturated and trans fats like deep fried snack foods , bakery foods , packaged foods red meat etc.
  10. Vegetables and fruits , like other plant-based foods , contain substances that may help prevent cardiovascular disease. Eating more fruits and vegetables may help to cut back on high calorie foods , such as meat , cheese , and snack foods.
  11. Get enough sleep.
  12. Regular exercise is key to good health.
  13. Manage stress level by yoga and meditation.
