Yoga reduces blood pressure in patients with pre-hypertension , according to a study presented at the 68th annual conference of the cardiological  society of India(CSI). Patients with Pre-hypertension are likely to develop hypertension, unless they improve their lifestyle. Both Pre-hypertension and high blood pressure increases the risk of heart attack ,stroke, and heart failure.

Patients with Pre-hypertension should practice Hatha Yoga, which includes stretching exercises(asana),breath control(pranayama) and meditation for one hour daily. It prevent the development of hypertension and in addition give a sense of well-being.

Yoga is a part of traditional Indian Culture and it has clear benefits in Pre-hypertension . It is easy to practice and also very economical. Yoga can go a long way in improving the overall health of the individual’s as hypertension is affecting a large number of Young Indians.
